Adebukola O. Orenuga

Chief Executive Officer

Adebukola possesses a first degree in International Law and Diplomacy from Babcock University, Ogun State Nigeria and a Postgraduate in Development Studies from University of Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. She recently concluded an MBA (Leadership) from Queen Mary University, University of London.

Adebukola drives the strategy of the Association and works closely with the Board as they direct the affairs of the Association.

Adebukola has cross-sector experience in Development, Education and Corporate Governance. Prior to joining BDAN, she was the Executive Secretary of the Association of Private Educators in Nigeria (APEN).

Adebukola is the Co-Founder of a mentoring programme called The Big-Little Project and spends her spare time mentoring young people. Adebukola was a Youth Ambassador for a UN Project called “A World at School” from 2014 – 2016. She is passionate about SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality and SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities and spends time giving back to the society.

She enjoys reading, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Maro Famous- Unabor is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with an MBA from Nexford University and a strong academic foundation in Accounting from Ekiti State University. She brings extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, and corporate governance, combining deep technical expertise with strategic insight.

With a proven track record of strengthening internal controls and enhancing regulatory compliance, Maro has successfully led initiatives that improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and support sustainable organisational growth. Her work is guided by a strong commitment to integrity and a thorough understanding of evolving financial and regulatory landscapes.

Currently serving as the Head of Internal Audit and Compliance at the Bank Directors Association of Nigeria (BDAN), Maro plays a pivotal role in promoting transparency, accountability, and best practices across the organisation. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring robust governance.

Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga

Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga (Sarkin Fulanin Gombe) holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Business Administration; MBA from the University of Maiduguri and M.Sc Finance & Governance from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, United Kingdom. He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors (IoD), Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (CPIN) and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria. 

Until August 2024, Alhaji was on the Board of Jaiz Bank Plc. He is currently on the board of Lafarge Cement Africa Plc., Axa Mansard Pensions, Finmal Finance Services Ltd (MD/CEO), Waila Microfinance Bank Ltd., Gombe Microfinance Bank Ltd., First Bank of Nigeria Bank Ltd., Senegal, Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).

He is the Chairman of the Nigerian Group Exchange (NGX) and is on the Council of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (President) and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

He is a Professional Certificate holder of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria and the Abuja Securities and Commodity Exchange. He was a member of the Nigerian Vision 20:2020, National Technical Working Group (NTWG) on Public sector Thematic Area. He is a well-travelled executive with extensive senior level management experience and impeccable ethics and integrity. He was recently conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, Nigeria. 

Mrs. Funke Feyisitan-Ladimeji

Mrs. Funke Feyisitan-Ladimeji is the Executive Director at Coronation Merchant Bank Limited.

She is a uniquely skilled and experienced Investment Banking Executive, with a global career spanning Banking businesses, across Markets and Corporate Finance, across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), North America and Asia, across multiple asset classes (including debt, equity and the range of assets between debt and equity, as well as derivatives) and across multiple functional areas, including Financial Control, Complex Product Accounting, Technology, Business Operations and Human Capital.

Mrs. Ladimeji spent 14 years at JP Morgan Chase where she was an Executive Director with global responsibilities managing businesses across multiple jurisdictions. Prior to joining Coronation Merchant Bank, she was a Director and Chief Operating Officer at FBNQuest Merchant Bank Group where she oversaw a period of radical revolution that grew the balance sheet and massively increased revenues with two key acquisitions and evolution in technology and business culture.

She has led several M & A transactions, including JPMorgan Chase acquisition of Cazenove; JPMorgan Chase acquisition of Bear Sterns; JPMorgan Chase acquisition of Bank One; Chase and JPMorgan combination; FBN Holdings acquisition of Kakawa Discount House; the combination of five legal entities following the restructuring of the FBN Group.

Mrs. Ladimeji is the Chairman of the Association of Professional Women Bankers of Nigeria, a member of WIMBIZ (Women in Management and Business) mentoring programme, a member of Amazon professionals a network of cross-sector professional women in Nigeria, she mentors new entrants and incumbents in the Financial Services and in other sectors.

Mrs. Ladimeji is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and holds a Masters degree in Globalisation and a Bachelors degree in Economics from Queen Mary and Brunel Universities respectively. 

Dayo Omolokun
Mr. Dayo Omolokun

Executive Director, STANDARD CHARTERED BANK OF NIG. LTD.

Mr. Dayo Omolokun is the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria Limited. He is responsible for leading the Finance function in Nigeria. As an organisational leader and key member of senior management, he balances the responsibilities of stewardship with business partnership; constantly improving shareholder value through strategy execution and business risks mitigation. He also manages investor and key regulatory relationships.

Mr. Omolokun is a seasoned finance and banking professional with over two decades of multi-functional and international experience in Africa, Middle East and UK markets. In his immediate past role as Director of Financial Integration and Change Management at Atlas Mara, he managed aspects of the organisation’s strategy to achieve growth through mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, he worked for Standard Chartered in various roles in Nigeria, UK, Botswana and Ghana, during which he made specific contributions to the growth of the business as Country Chief Financial Officer and executed a global acquisition and integration project at the Group Head Office. He has also been an Independent Consultant to African Development Bank on Non-Sovereign Operations (private sector investments). He trained with Arthur Andersen Nigeria (now KPMG Professional Services) rising to the position of Audit and Business Advisory Manager.

Mr. Omolokun earned an Executive MBA from Cass Business School, City, University of London (UK), and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (Nigeria). He possesses chartered accounting and tax qualifications. He is married with children.
